David is an Advanced Cicerone© and a member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers and the British Guild of Beer Writers. He’s the host of the Bean to Barstool podcast, the author of Pairing Beer & Chocolate, and the co-editor of Final Gravity, A Beer Zine. He lives near Dayton, Ohio.

Josh is an award-winning custom bike builder and metal fabricator whose work has been featured in major publications and television shows. Now a cofounder at American Metal Customs and American Metal Whiskey, he brings his passion, skill and vision to every build and bottle.
Yoko Baum
Originally from Japan, Yoko is a freelance illustrator living in Portland, Oregon. She previously worked in the children’s book industry, and today focuses on editorial and advertising projects, especially those around food, drink and nature.

For Davon, wine truly is life: she’s a wine educator; sparkling wine consultant; food, wine and travel journalist; and digital creator. She’s also the principal of Cultural Capital Law + Consulting, a holistic trademarks, wine law and brand development firm and strategic consultancy. Yes, “wine law” is really a thing.

For more than 20 years, John Holl has been covering the beer industry as a reporter and editor. In 2019, he was “enthroned” by the Knights of The Brewer’s Fork of Belgium, descendants of the ancient brewer’s guild.

Dr. Nicola Nice is best known for her work as a sociologist and as the founder of the Pomp & Whimsy gin company. Now her debut book, The Cocktail Parlor: How Women Brought the Cocktail Home, explores the untold social history of women and cocktails.
Em Sauter
Based in New England, Em is the founder and cartoonist behind Pints and Panels, a website dedicated to visual beer education. She is an Advanced Cicerone, author of two beer books, and an international beer judge.
Robin Shreeves
Robin is a certified wine professional and wine, food and travel journalist. She loves good wine no matter where it’s made, but, as a Jersey girl through and through, she often champions the wines of her home state and other East Coast regions.
N.C. Stevens
N.C. became interested in the folkways of drinking after living in Madagascar. He has written about a range of drinks, including herbal tea, coffee, beer and the more obscure spirits of the world. His work has appeared in Atlas Obscura, Wine Enthusiast, Slate.com and his self-curated website, DrinkingFolk.com.
