Originally from Japan, Yoko is a freelance illustrator living in Portland, Oregon. She previously worked in the children’s book industry, and today focuses on editorial and advertising projects, especially those around food, drink and nature.

John DeBary
John is a semi-retired bartender turned drinks and hospitality expert who spends most of his time writing about drinks, including two cocktail books, Drink What You Want and Saved by the Bellini. When not writing, he consults for private clients and hangs out with his husband and two cats.

Jessica, an Austin-based wine and spirits writer, boasts a decade of global storytelling experience. She’s authored seven food and wine books and holds a DipWSET from the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust.

Diana is an artist, textile designer and illustrator, a mother living between Berlin, Italy and Lagos. She has published eight covers for The New Yorker and several children’s books.

Frankie is an illustrator based in Southern California. Specializing in editorial illustration, their work highlights the silly and unserious nature of ordinary people in wacky colors and bustling scenes.
Davon D. E. Hatchett
For Davon, wine truly is life: she’s a wine educator; sparkling wine consultant; food, wine and travel journalist; and digital creator. She’s also the principal of Cultural Capital Law + Consulting, a holistic trademarks, wine law and brand development firm and strategic consultancy. Yes, “wine law” is really a thing.
John Holl
For more than 20 years, John Holl has been covering the beer industry as a reporter and editor. In 2019, he was “enthroned” by the Knights of The Brewer’s Fork of Belgium, descendants of the ancient brewer’s guild.
Tom Hyland
Tom is a Chicago-based freelance writer specializing in Italian wines, having written two books on the subject, and has contributed to numerous publications including wine-searcher.com and Decanter. His favorite wine is Barolo, but he will never refuse a glass of Champagne.

Millie is an award-winning spirits and cocktail writer based in London. She is also the head of content for the non-profit OurWhisky Foundation and founder of Wet Ink, a tasting and education business.
Nicola Nice
Dr. Nicola Nice is best known for her work as a sociologist and as the founder of the Pomp & Whimsy gin company. Now her debut book, The Cocktail Parlor: How Women Brought the Cocktail Home, explores the untold social history of women and cocktails.
Em Sauter
Based in New England, Em is the founder and cartoonist behind Pints and Panels, a website dedicated to visual beer education. She is an Advanced Cicerone, author of two beer books, and an international beer judge.
Robin Shreeves
Robin is a certified wine professional and wine, food and travel journalist. She loves good wine no matter where it’s made, but, as a Jersey girl through and through, she often champions the wines of her home state and other East Coast regions.
N.C. Stevens
N.C. became interested in the folkways of drinking after living in Madagascar. He has written about a range of drinks, including herbal tea, coffee, beer and the more obscure spirits of the world. His work has appeared in Atlas Obscura, Wine Enthusiast, Slate.com and his self-curated website, DrinkingFolk.com.
